April 19

 Sarah Nita's aunt gets very sick from the white man's food. Also, while Sarah Nita and Kaibah look for their parent's they find out how to make the white man's food so no one will get sick anymore. Lastly, they call the white man's white powder flaarhh. - Alyssa

Sarah Nita finds a way to cook the food so her group will not become sick. Also, High Jumper thinks about running away.- Cameryn  

Sarah Nita and Kaibah look around the camp once they get there for their family but don't find them. They eat really good beef and a powdery stuff. The next day, Kaibah and Sarah Nita watch the soliders cook Flaarah, which was it was called, and Kaibah's solider teaches them how, even though he doesn't speak English.~~Emily

 Aunt is sick because of the food. She is sick because they aren't cooking the food right. Then the girls find out how to cook the food, and no one gets sick anymore. Alyssa 

April 24

During pages 100-145, Many things happen. Boys want to rebel and leave the temporary camp, including High Jumper, no sight for Kaibah and Sarah Nita’s family, deaths, and friends. Sarah Nita even goes far enough to wish evil on the white soliders. The first death happens when they were walking again, It was Dezbah, Sarah Nita’s friend’s grandmother who was ill. So, The white soliders didn’t even help Dezbah up, so they left her there. Then, shortly after, Sah-Nee (The one that had her grandmother die) comes to them and says that her brothers and father ran off. Sarah Nita goes to see if High Jumper didn’t leave, but he didn’t. So, Sah-Nee, her mother and her grandfather moved in with Sarah Nita’s temporary family. Kaibah hurts her ancle and can’t walk on the Long Walk, so Sarah Nita and High Jumper support her, so she doesn’t fall behind and get killed. Then, Mica Eyes, Kaibah’s solider came and took Kaibah up on his horse with her and she rode with her the rest of the day, only coming with them during meals. Kaibah learned the white man’s words so it got Sarah Nita and the others angry. Then, Kaibah rides again with Mica Eyes and the Robbers come. They steal their sheep and several small kids. Then, the next morning, High Jumper disappears. Next, there was a shooting. A women that was pregnant was in labor and the soliders shot her because it was easier.

Later on, The Navajos are crossing the lake, Her aunt and Starlight, her baby, almost drown but Kaibah calls out with English words and Mica Eyes comes and saves them. Then, High Jumper came back with their animals and told about his journey. Then, they settle down, all packed together and every day the men are taken to work.-Emily

April 26

In the end of the book, Sarah Nita finds her mother and father. They are not dead.Sarah Nita gets corn for her father because he is very sick, and grandmother makes special medicen to make him feel better. In the Sarah Nita and Kaibah's father is just fine! -Hailey Also at the end of the book Sarah Nita and High jumper do get mairred. They stayed four long years in the camp before the white menn let them go. Next Sliver Coat stayed alive with Sarah Nita.Cristina
