Observation

I think it was strange that cook left since they the slaves are free and Patsy thought cook might know something about her history. Cook said when she arrived a man was holding her that might be her father cook was unsure. Alexa

 

 I thought it was sad how when she was younger she was sick all the time and cook took her in the house to care for her. Also, she always has to limp when she walked or run she could never run as fast or walk as fast one leg is shorter then the other. Brooke

 

I can't believe that Nancy doesn't want to go with her real  mother.  I know that she doesn't want to starve on the streets, but wouldn't she rather go with her family I know I would. Alexa

 

I think Patsy is a very sweet girl who is a good reader and good at writing.Gabrielle

since she knows how to read and write why didn't she ask her master and mistress before  they died if she could take classes like Annie and Charels.Gabrielle

 When she found out she was free why didn't she leave.Gabrielle

 

This is a question I wanted to know a long time ago did cook acually taalk to Patsy other then when she had to tell her to go get water or do chores. Gabrielle 

 

I can't belive that cook left I was not even thinking that was going to happen. Well I geuss because cook said that they are not slaves anymore they were free. Brooke  

 Nancy said that she didn't know who that lady was at the door. It was her mother but she said she does not remember her in her life she was four when sir took her away from her. Brooke  

 

I thought is was sad how Ruth and Luke want. Now Pasty is lonly I thought Pasty woulod go with them even if  said there is not enough room. But Pasty said she wouldn't go even if she was alllould she has to teach the other kids. Its good Luke knows how to write now they can write letters to each other. Brooke

 

I felt bad when Patsy left the plantation of  Davis Hall with brother Solomon and other families because now Patsy can't teach the kids how to read and write. Alexa

 

I felt happy when Patsy married Doughlass because now Patsy isn't alone anymore and she has someone to talk to. Alexa

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wonderings

I was wondering will she ever get free from master and misstress.  also, would she get to see her sister anymore.

I wonder if mistress will let Pasty go to school she already knows how to read and write, but nobody knows that she can read and write. Alexa

 

I was just wondering why she can't go to church with the other slaves .Gabrielle

 Now that she is free shes aloud to go to church with the other slaves. Brooke

  I wonder if she will ever find her family? Also does Pasty even have a family? Brooke

 Cook told Patsy that she didn't have any family because when she arrived at Davis hall she came on a ship and it was all of the people on the ship was men except for Patsy and a man was holding her, but cook didn't know if it was her farther. Alexa

 

When Patsy goes to school, I wonder what it will be like for Patsy.  Will it be hard easy or okay for her.Alexa

 

I wonder if what will the judge do since Nancy and Ma'am are going to court to see who gets Nancy.  Either Ma'am will get Nancy or Nancy's mother will get her.  Who will get her? Alexa

I wonder if her school teacher will ever show up? Brooke
