Her Parents might get divorsed. Kats life isnt so good shes suffering a lot. The only thing she has is a journal to right her thoughts. Jordan This girl is really suffering and her parents may get a divrorce and she likes to right in her journal.  This is all true jordan. Amy

This girl is Kathlen Bowen she is a 13 year old girl.  Her mom does a picket line out side of the white house the president is Mr. Wilson.  Every day no matter how cold it was her mom and lots of other women would stand there for hours on end talking about voting ladies want to vote it was not fair.Daria

.  The president did not  even care he would just let them stand outside chanting about the rights for ladies to vote.  All ladies would have shifts like one would come in then a little later another woulherd take over her post.  Her dad did not like this he did not understand why women wanted to vote so much he thought it was okay the way it was.  All of the ladies related to her and sometimes her would stand outside still waiting.  The president would still not budge!  It was not fair how hard women worked at home taking care of everything and they do not have the right to vote.  The father got made about this chant and wanting to vote so the parents were talking about a divorce. amy I think that too it is true. Wonderings

i wonder why kat's parents were going to get a divorse and i think that it would be even more horrible than it would already be. Shes going through the war and maybe her parents might get a divorse. Jordan

I want to know how much longer the women are going to do the picket line will they get the right to vote by the end of this book i wonder?  Because they have to work very hard.  They are standing outside all day no matter the weather hanging banners and chanting for the right to vote.  Will they get what they want the (right to vote)? I want to know if anyone will be arrested during the picket line. Amy

 I also want to know if Alma will get married to the guy she fell in love with when she worked at the hospital and she read to him and i think he had no legs.  Because she would always send letters to Kat about this guy Amy.

 I want to know if  Any men start to join the picket line and help the women get the right to vote like Kat's dad will he come out and help them.  Amy
