Good readers develop new vocabulary as they read. Look for unfamiliar, unusual, interesting or puzzling words as you read.

Meaning of the word: to be reduced to a lower postion in one's own eyes or the eyes of another

Word: regulations (Dylan)

Sentence from book:Miss Kroll announced the decision on dress regulations.

Meaning of the word: A law or rule. Something you have to follow.

Word:leprosy(George)

Sentence from book:Polio's like leprosy around here.

Meaning of word:It's a  disease that affets your nevous system and your skin.  

Mirror Lake: Mirror Lake is a Japanese camp they built in Calafornia because of the bobming in Pearl Harbor.
